Questions About Commercial Recovery, Answered

Everything you need to know about how ResolveIQ works, what it costs, and what to expect from the process.

Overview
What exactly is ResolveIQ Recovery Group?
ResolveIQ is an AI-powered commercial recovery platform for Texas B2B businesses. We help companies with outstanding receivables get paid faster, more reliably, and without burning customer relationships or running afoul of Texas commercial law. We score every account, route it through the optimal workflow, and deliver measurable recovery outcomes.
How is ResolveIQ different from a traditional collection agency?
Traditional agencies use blunt-force tactics — mass letters, aggressive calls, settlements at steep discounts — with little intelligence applied. ResolveIQ uses AI to score each account, predict recovery probability, and route it through the optimal resolution pathway. We also preserve relationships wherever possible, offer structured payment plans, and operate within strict Texas compliance boundaries. Results are transparent and measurable — you see your recovery rate, resolution time, and account status in real time.
What types of businesses does ResolveIQ work with?
We serve any B2B company holding commercial receivables from other businesses. Our primary verticals include construction and development, healthcare and medical services, professional services (legal, accounting, consulting), manufacturing and distribution, and technology services. We also serve transportation, real estate services, staffing/PEO, wholesale, energy services, and agricultural businesses. See all industries we serve.
What's the minimum account size to work with ResolveIQ?
Our platform is optimized for commercial accounts typically ranging from $2,000 to $500,000. Accounts below this range can be handled on a portfolio basis. If you have a large volume of smaller accounts, contact us — we can structure a custom solution.
What geographic areas does ResolveIQ serve?
We're headquartered in Houston, Texas and operate nationally. Our primary operational focus is Texas, with the ability to handle commercial accounts across all U.S. states. International recovery requires separate assessment.
The Process
What happens when I submit an account to ResolveIQ?
Three things happen immediately: (1) We score the account against our recovery probability model — looking at debtor payment history, aging bucket, industry, and financial signals. (2) We identify the recommended resolution pathway — settlement, payment plan, structured negotiation, or litigation referral. (3) We route the account into the appropriate workflow and begin automated recovery actions. You'll see the account in your dashboard within 24 hours of submission.
How long does the recovery process typically take?
It depends on the account's initial score. High-probability accounts (score 75+) typically resolve within 5–15 days. Medium-probability accounts take 30–60 days. Lower-probability accounts may require 60–120 days of structured negotiation. We provide resolution-time estimates at intake so you know what to expect.
How does ResolveIQ attempt to contact debtors?
We use a structured, compliance-first communication sequence: email, formal written notice, and phone outreach — all timed to match the debtor's likely payment cycle. We never use deceptive contact information or misleading caller ID. All communication templates are pre-approved for legal compliance.
What if a debtor refuses to pay or disputes the invoice?
Our system flags disputed accounts and routes them through a specialized dispute resolution workflow. We gather documentation, assess the validity of the dispute, and either negotiate a resolution or recommend legal escalation if warranted. We don't pursue accounts we believe are legitimately disputed — that's both bad ethics and bad business.
Can ResolveIQ help set up payment plans for debtors?
Yes. We facilitate structured payment plans as part of our standard recovery workflow. Plans are customized to the debtor's financial profile and can include Stripe-powered installment tracking. Every plan includes clear terms, automated reminders, and automatic status updates in your dashboard.
Compliance
Is ResolveIQ compliant with Texas commercial collection law?
Yes. ResolveIQ operates in full compliance with Texas Finance Code Chapter 391, which governs commercial debt collection in Texas. Our workflows are built around the regulatory framework, not retrofitted to it. We do not engage in deceptive practices, harassment, or any conduct prohibited under Texas or federal commercial law.
What about the federal FDCPA — does it apply to business debts?
The FDCPA primarily applies to consumer debt. For B2B commercial accounts, the primary regulatory framework is Texas Finance Code Chapter 391. We operate well within both frameworks and treat all accounts as if the strictest standard applies — because it's good practice regardless of legal mandate.
How does ResolveIQ handle debtor cease communication requests?
We maintain a compliance flag system that immediately halts outbound communication when a cease request is registered — whether from the debtor directly or through their attorney. Accounts flagged for cease communication are placed in a legal hold status and routed to our compliance team for review. We document every cease request and response in the account audit trail.
Are your communication templates pre-approved for compliance?
Yes. All email, letter, and SMS templates are reviewed by our General Counsel before deployment. No templates containing misleading information, false urgency, or improper disclosure are ever used. Every communication clearly identifies the sender, the nature of the obligation, and the debtor's rights.
Pricing
How does ResolveIQ charge for its services?
ResolveIQ uses a contingency-based model — we charge a percentage of the recovered amount only when recovery is successful. No upfront fees, no monthly platform fees, no per-account minimums for most clients. This aligns our incentives with yours: we only win when you get paid. Specific rates are negotiated based on portfolio size and account characteristics.
Are there any fees if an account doesn't get recovered?
No. We operate on a contingency basis for standard accounts. If we don't recover funds, you owe nothing. We do offer additional services (litigation support, on-site mediation, specialized audit) that may carry separate fees — always disclosed in advance and subject to your approval.
What percentage of the recovered amount does ResolveIQ keep?
Contingency rates vary based on account age, dollar amount, and debtor profile. High-score accounts typically carry lower contingency rates; distressed or aged accounts carry higher rates to reflect the additional effort required. We provide a clear rate schedule during onboarding — no hidden percentages, no surprise deductions.
Technology
How does the AI scoring system work?
Our scoring engine evaluates each account across multiple dimensions: debtor payment history, industry sector patterns, invoice characteristics (amount, age, aging bucket), debtor financial signals, and prior relationship data. The model outputs a recovery probability score (0–100), a risk level (low/medium/high/critical), and a recommended action pathway. The model is trained on millions of commercial resolution outcomes. See our full technology description.
Do I have real-time visibility into account status?
Yes. The ResolveIQ client dashboard provides real-time visibility into every account in your portfolio: current status, last action taken, next recommended step, recovery probability score, aging bucket, and expected resolution date. You can filter by risk level, industry, aging bucket, or resolution stage.
How does payment processing work for settlement offers and payment plans?
We use Stripe for secure payment processing. Settlement offers and payment plan installments are paid through secure checkout links sent to debtors. Funds go directly to your designated account through Stripe's payout system. You can issue refunds directly through the dashboard if needed (with required justification). See our services page for payment details.
Is my account data secure with ResolveIQ?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and do not share client or debtor data with third parties outside the recovery workflow. Payment processing is handled entirely through Stripe — we never store card numbers.
Getting Started
How do I get started with ResolveIQ?
The fastest path is to submit a free account assessment through our contact form. Tell us about your receivables — volume, average invoice size, aging profile — and we'll provide a no-obligation recovery estimate. From there, if it's a fit, we'll have you onboarded within 48 hours. Contact us to get started.
How long does onboarding take?
Most clients are fully onboarded and submitting accounts within 48 hours of signing the service agreement. Your client portal is activated same day. Account intake is a simple form — you can batch-upload CSV files for large portfolios.
What information do I need to provide for each account?
Minimum required: debtor company name, contact information, invoice amount, original invoice date, and invoice number. The more context you provide (contract docs, prior correspondence, dispute notes), the faster and more accurate the scoring. We can work with a CSV export from your accounting system.
Can I choose which accounts to submit and which to hold back?
Absolutely. You have full control over which accounts are submitted. You can place accounts on hold, remove them from the queue, or adjust the resolution strategy at any time. We recommend submitting all accounts over 60 days outstanding for an initial scoring pass — but you decide what goes through the system.
Do you offer a trial or free assessment?
Yes. We offer a free portfolio assessment — share your receivables data (CSV preferred) and we'll score every account and provide a recovery probability report at no charge. There's no commitment required. Use the report to benchmark your current recovery state and decide whether to move forward with the platform.
